Behind the Scenes: Swag - Get Gone

Behind the Scenes

Last week we got to meet up with upcoming r&b rapper Swag to shoot the video for his first single “Get Gone”. The song is a spin on the T-Pain I’m Sprung instrumental and showcases his own style of music. He recently relocated from Ft. Lauderdale to Saint Petersburg, Fl to pursue his career in music and hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams. This music video was shot by us here at A1 Lenz Productions.

Check out below as we give you a short look on the making of this video.

Behind the scenes shot + edited by @ScottySpruce

For this particular scene we used a ring light, and a simple black backdrop to acheive the catch light in his glasses. To get the infinity black look, we only used this one light, and color graded in Adobe premiere to give it a clean cinematic look.

Lighting is super important when it comes to lighting your videos. It creates a different mood and vibe for your audience. When using a ring light, it also creates softer lighting for a smoother look on any subject that is in front of it. Play with different lights and techniques until you find one that fits the style for your video. You can also add colored gels, or edit in post production, to change certain colors and add some dope effects.

Overlays and changing the hue can create unique looks.

We also placed the ring light behind the subject, to create a glow effect and silhouette to create a different mood and a half moon of lighting on his face.

We brought in actors Trig and Crystal to play the love interests. They did an awesome job at acting out the scenes and getting the work done. You can see below as he is handing her the gift.
